Ciclopirox olamine (used in brand names Loprox, Ciclodan, Batrafen, Mycoster, Penlac and Stieprox) is an antifungal drug used most frequently to treat fungal infections of the skin such as athlete’s foot, jock itch, and ringworm, “sun fungus” (tinea versicolor), dermatitis of the scalp, and other forms of yeast infection. In some cases, it may also be used to treat nail fungus.
Clotrimazole (brand names Lotrimin AF, Lotrisone, Lotriderm) is a topical antifungal drug available by prescription most frequently used to treat dermatological fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, and jock itch.
Fluconazole (brand name Diflucan) is an oral anti-fungal drug available by prescription most frequently used to treat infections caused by the fungus Candida, more commonly known as yeast
Terbinafine, an FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved drug also known by the brand name Lamisil, is a medication used to treat fungal infections. Specifically, terbinafine is used to treat fungal infections of the fingernails or toenails (such as onychomycosis).
